One of the historic landmark sites is Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, said to be one of the oldest inns in the United States. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote “Tales of The Wayside Inn” which was a book of poems that included one about Paul Revere’s famous ride. The inn was once owned by Henry Ford who purchased it in the 1920’s and had refurbished it. Now it is an operating inn with a restaurant and gift store.
Today, Sudbury’s town center continues to reflect the history and character of its past. Churches and town buildings still remain and have been preserved with their original beauty.
